One of the hottest pop personalities in the country today, euFAIRia Arise presents Rico Blanco in the Opening Night of the UP Fair Week 2009. With his influence being more and more evident in the local music scene, Rico Blanco is sure to fire up the UP Sunken Garden on February 09, 2009.

ROCKULTURA speaks for the rock music and Filipino culture that has deeply shaped our very own Pinoy Rock Culture and continually defines our generation.
Dynamic and adaptive to the times as it is, rock music has evolved since it emerged in the 40’s and 50’s from the so-called “rock-n-roll”, to “slow and glam,”“punk,” “hard/metal” rock, and so on. In the UP Fair-speak, ROCKULTURA serves as a tribute to this legacy and to the Original Pinoy Music (OPM) rock bands which have been part of this rock culture.
In its 40th Anniversary and 6th consecutive year in the UP Fair, the EMC2 Fraternity and Lee, in cooperation with Questworks Multimedia Inc., Sony Philippines and Greenwich Pizza, in association with NU Rock and PiK-Nik, offers a night of current and timeless Pinoy rock hits from the past to be performed by the country’s top 40 rock bands which feature Pupil, Urbandub, Sandwich, Imago, Cambio, Chicosci, Queso, Greyhoundz, The Wudz, Johnny Cross, Itchyworms, 6 Cyclemind, Callalily, Mayonnaise, Silent Sanctuary, Pedicab, Soapdish, Zelle, Datu’s Tribe, Markus Hway, Join the Club, Paraluman, Peryodiko, Archipelago, Kelevra, Intolerant, FMD, Urduja, Tanya Markova, Nyctinasty, Bloodshedd, South Superhiway, Ultimate Ube and many more.

AMPLIFIED: The UP Masig Fair
Wednesday Fair Night, February 11
On February 11, the UP Sunken Garden will be the venue for a night of loud and lively music and unparalleled entertainment, as the UP Alpha Sigma Fraternity presents Amplified: The UP Masig Fair Night. From dusk until the break of dawn, the UP Alpha Sigma Fraternity, in cooperation with Globe Telecom, Dental First, and Pag-Ibig Fund bring to the entire UP Diliman community a night of sound, rhythm and rocking music. This event also marks a milestone for the fraternity, as it hosts its tenth UP Fair night in more than a decade.
The night will feature some of the country’s biggest bands, including Kamikazee, Chicosci, Urbandub, Moonstar 88, Typecast and a host of other great bands that are sure to rock the UP Sunken Garden. The night will indeed be one to remember, as Parokya Ni Edgar performs exclusively on this night for the entire UP community. So on February 11 2009, get ready to live loud, and get Amplified.
RAMBOL: Rock Against Violence
Thursday Night Fair, February 12, 2009.
UP Brotherhood of the Filipinos present RAMBOL: Rock against violence. RAMBOL stresses the call for the pursuit of peace, and the end of violence. Pinoy ’55 wants UP to experience a different high in Pinoy Rock Music while urging everyone to stand against any form of violence. RAMBOL will feature the following bands and artists:

Celebrate the dawn of Valentine’s Day with a twist with LOVERAGE 3: Break the Curse, the Friday Night of the much anticipated UP Fair 2009. Presented by the Pan Xenia Fraternity, Adelfe Enu Crea Sorority, Penshoppe, Watsons, Enchanted Kingdom, and Bacchus, in cooperation with UP Cursor and UP Circuit, this event will be held on Friday the 13th of February, at the UP Sunken Garden from 6:00PM onwards. LOVERAGE 3 is also brought to you by Met Tathione, Circuit Magazine, Philstar.com and DZUP 1602.
LOVERAGE 3: Break the Curse, is a Valentine celebration designed to defy superstitious bad luck associated with Friday the 13th through a night of love and music. It is expected to be more groundbreaking and more exciting as major bands perform live featuring Bamboo, Rivermaya, Sugarfree, Urbandub, Kjwan, Itchyworms, Greyhoundz, Razorback, Typecast, Moonstar88 and many more.
